New reports on the implementation of IPRs

Three new Reports on the Implementation of Investment Policy Review (IPR) are now available for download.

Report on the implementation of the Investment Policy Review of Benin. Since undertaking the IPR in 2005, Benin carried out reforms with a positive impact that led to higher FDI flows. These include establishing a single window for business registration, reforming taxation, and modernizing the port of Cotonou. However, some challenges still weigh on private sector development and the country's capacity to meet the sustainable development goals. Among these, improving public-private dialogue, access to land and commercial justice remain priorities. Find the Report on the implementation of the IPR of Benin here.

Report on the implementation of the Investment Policy Review of Botswana. More than ten years after the publication of the IPR, Botswana has maintained its reputation as a development success story. Major reforms have been undertaken in line with the IPR recommendations, including the establishment of a well-functioning competition authority and of a fully-fledged investment promotion agency. Yet, entrepreneurship development initiatives and institutions need increased coordination and focus. Find the Report on the implementation of the Investment Policy Review of Botswana here.

Report on the implementation of the Investment Policy Review of the Dominican Republic. The IPR of the Dominican Republic outlined reforms aimed at diversifying and deriving more benefits from FDI. Since 2008, many were implemented and led to higher value added.
