Follow UNCTAD's High-level IIA Conference online

An online live stream will be available to the public for the main sessions of UNCTAD's High-level IIA Conference from 9 to 11 October in Geneva.

The 3-day high-level conference will carry IIA reform to the next phase. Based on a stocktaking of reform and policy options at hand, the Annual High-level IIA Conference will share experiences and identify best practices for phase 2 of IIA reform. The conference builds on a series of earlier UNCTAD IIA-related conferences, including at the World Investment Forum in Nairobi, Kenya in July 2016.

The following sessions will be made available online through a WebEx video conference:

Monday, 9 October: 10 am to 4 pm, Geneva time (GMT+2)

10:00 – 10:30 Opening

10:30 – 13:00 High-level plenary session on IIA reform: Taking stock and moving forward

13:15 – 14:45 European Commission side event: “Multilateral reform of ISDS: Possible paths forward”

15:00 – 16:00 Plenary: Carry-over from morning session

(No video broadcasting will be available for the break-out sessions starting at 4 pm.)

Tuesday, 10 October

How to join the conference online:

  • Click on the links provided above.
  • Run or download the WebEx program when requested. It will only take a few minutes for the program to start running. You can also use a mobile device to join.
  • Please use your name and affiliation as User Name. No password is required to join the meeting.
  • Please note that “Mute on entry” will be the default setting. You can only watch and listen to the sessions online. You will not be able to speak to conference participants via WebEx or actively participate in the discussions in Geneva.
  • Please log in at least 10 to 15 minutes before the event begins. During this time, we will be running a “sound check” to make sure you can hear and see us clearly.
  • In case of questions, please use the “Chat” box to write to the host.
